In this interactive webinar, participants will learn how a crisis also creates opportunities. Participants will experience and practice how mental models prevent us from finding answers to the question, “What else is possible?” This online workshop will be delivered as two 75- minute sessions and is based on several capabilities of the L (Lead Self) and S (Systems Transformation) of the LEADS framework, and on some of the enabling competencies of the roles of Leader and Professional of the CanMEDS framework.
Presently, the rate of change exceeds human adaptability, and this set of interactive webinars will offer tools and skill development for improving that adaptability. It will deal, not only with how to survive, but also with how agility can help us thrive in crises. Small group exercises, followed by large group integration, will be linked with simple models for day-to-day use. Participants will learn skills for their own resilience and simultaneously orient themselves toward the future of the rapidly changing world systems, including health and healthcare. Important concepts to be covered include: the space within which we choose to re-act or pro-act; what we can control, influence, and not control; our tribe; thriver mindset versus controller, victim, and bystander; using a photographic zoom lens (and other tools) for agility and against distractibility.
After the workshops, short documents on which this workshop is based will be made available to all who participate.
